Wildwood / Philadelphia - I can't agree more with the Wildwood spouter who wants to know why schools and colleges have to start in August. I went to school from the day after Labor Day until mid-June and I was able to work a summer job at the shore, and I got a bonus for staying until Labor Day weekend. Our kids can't do that anymore, because they get out of school in May and have to go back two weeks before labor Day. It makes no sense. American kids can't get summer jobs, but the eastern Europeans, who don't start school until October can.
