To the people complaining about the new low-income units being built: There are a lot of low-income folks in this area. Where would you like for them to reside, under the boardwalk? They have to live someplace. Affordable rentals, especially for poor families with children, are almost nonexistent here. Will it be a burden on taxpayers and the police force? Most likely, yes. However the poor are not going anywhere, and placing them in overpriced motel rooms is not the answer.
