Now the BID, a quasi-governmental agency, wants to arrange a weekly produce market on weekends at the vacant lot on Pacific Ave. First, they have to consult with Rutgers Univ. co-op ext. to see if it's feasible, so a study will no doubt need to be done. All this so 15 people can sell some fruit. This is what happens when the gov't. gets involved in the economy. It seems like no one has any idea what to do with that lot or Pacific Ave. Let the free market decide. You'll know right away if it's successful. Crest's gov't. tried this last year and it failed. They didn't do a study.
