It’s amazing how many bad ideas actually see the light of day. Beach Ball Blvd, really? Did anyone take the time to ask the folks who live and run businesses on Rio Grande Ave. what they thought of this cheesy name? There was no need to change the name of our historic and indeed ‘grand’ avenue it in the first place. If you must, at least pick something we can be proud of. Even Beach Boulevard would be better and doesn’t sound ridiculous or fake. We hope the city will reconsider, and drop this ill-conceived name that would make it embarrassing to give out your address.
