If you read the front page of the Herald and it was comparing Lower Township and Wildwood's overall Budget including police. You can see what the big problem is. Wildwood's budget is 31.8 Million and the police portion is 8.6 Million (27% of budget) for the town of Wildwood which covers about 5 square miles and is a resort town. Now look at Lower Township's budget budget is 30.9 Million and the police portion is 7.9 Million (26% of budget) which covers about 32 square miles and is more of year community. So answer this question why is Wildwood's police budget so high ?
