I had no idea Wildwood's athletic budget was almost half a million, considering there are so few students in the middle and high school. No wonder our bills are up the roof. I also understand most of the very young high school administrators are former coaches themselves. Sports may be important, but not crucial, so why don't we borrow a page from Upper Township and have parents pay some participation fees for their kids to play sports? They're wealthier than us folks here.
