Handicap parking use does need an overhaul. You have a waitress in the summer (actually saw this) in her waitress uniform park at a meter, then hang a handicap placard so she parks free. No handicap there. People in wheelchairs have to park a distance while someone with no apparent handicap runs into a convenience store to buy smokes. You cannot tell me there is not widespread abuse. Five years after your loved one dies, you are still using their tag? Don't know the answer, do know there is much wrong with the system.
