Good for the Moreys and GWTIDA for standing up to the city of Wildwood. My understanding is that in addition to the event permit fees the Moreys already pay, they also pay for any additional city services needed for their events such as police, fire and EMS. The city clearly has an ax to grind with the Moreys and just because there is an opportunity to tax something, doesn't mean the city is automatically entitled to a share of the profits. If the city had their house in order, they wouldn't have to be turning to such desperate measures.
