Wildwood Crest - Why isn't the law against fireworks possession enforced in our state? Few people using them are aware of the $500 fine for buying or using fireworks in New Jersey. Of course, while most of them are brought here by non-residents, many cross the river to buy them legally in Pennsylvania. In the past, our state police observed cars with NJ tags there, and stopped them as they crossed the bridge. Problem solved.
