Wildwood Crest - Very sad on the last weekend of summer to see a seagull on the Crest Pier beach with a broken wing. Lifeguards said someone hit it with a shovel the day before and there is no good outcome for this bird. For all visiting our beaches, if you do not like seagulls, stay away from the beach as this is their habitat to search for food. Yes, they are annoying, but for a human to swing a shovel at a bird? Shameful.
