Wildwood Crest - Sixty-two percent of American families own at least one dog. Why aren't they vacationing in the Wildwoods? Because they are bringing their dogs to pet-friendlier destinations. Other tourist areas offer pet-friendly attractions, motels, restaurants, pet-sitting services and off-leash, fenced dog parks. As a local who travels with my pooch, I can honestly say it's a letdown to return home after vacationing in pet-friendly spots that have designated places for dogs to safely and legally run off-leash.
