Wildwood Crest - This is in reply to the spouter from Wildwood Crest, regarding payment for the beach benches in memory of a loved one. We were told when we purchased a bench several years ago in memory of our son that it would cost $500 for five years and was renewable after five years for $500. I realize it may be difficult to remember something for five years, but please be assured the borough is not trying to "rip" you off. To us, the cost of memorializing our son is well worth $500 every five years. It is not a payment for maintenance, but rather for the privilege of having a bench in a loved one's memory.
