Wildwood Crest - Municipalities with a cannabis cultivator will receive the revenue from a 2 percent tax on the product within their jurisdiction. Municipalities with a wholesaler will receive the revenue from a 1 percent tax on the product within their jurisdiction, while municipalities with a retailer will receive the revenue from a 3 percent tax on the product within their jurisdiction, according to the NJ governor’s office. Municipalities that opt out won’t reap those benefits.
We can reap the taxes or not but either way it will be coming here down the Garden State Parkway.
