Kids and adults alike like to dig holes in the sand on the beach

Wildwood Crest - Kids and adults alike like to dig holes in the sand on the beach. I feel for safety reasons holes dug in the soft sand should be backfilled before they leave the beach. I've seen it before when people trip or fall into the holes. This is a dangerous situation. Last year, a young kid dug a hole and was playing in it and it caved in on him. He was rescued and safe but that could happen here.
