Wildwood Crest - I went to the beach at Columbine Rd. in the Crest at 5 p.m. July 12. I set up my chair at the water's edge and realized I was surrounded by waste. Within 10 feet of either side of me, I counted 12 cigarette butts, an apple core, and three candy wrappers capable of harming the marine life. To top it off, a woman arrived with her dog, which promptly squatted on the beach, and she did nothing to clean it up. C'mon Crest residents and visitors, we're better than this. For those too selfish to respect our community, how about issuing some $300 fines?
