Wildwood Crest - A deputy sheriff who was assigned the Parkland School never went inside once the shooting started. Could the reason be he knew he was outgunned from the onset and entering the building would be suicide? Perhaps so. If military grade assault rifles are being used to commit these mass shootings, then the police need to be equally armed with such weapons. They need to be readily available to all officers, not just the SWAT unit, who once notified, has to respond to HQ, get dressed, start their vehicle, and drive to the scene, while the officer is using his pistol to defend himself/others.
