Why does our electric company make reporting a street light outage so difficult for us concerned citizens? In the past, a simple online form was used, and the light eventually would be repaired. Now, you must navigate an online map to locate the particular light pole, which easily discourages many wishing to do their civic duty.
Moderator's Note: According to Atlantic City Electric Media Relations Manager Frank Tedesco, "Atlantic City Electric recently implemented a streetlight reporting system to provide customers another option to report a streetlight outage or issue to Atlantic City Electric through the company’s website. If customers prefer not to utilize the self-service online map tool, they may report a streetlight issue by calling the Atlantic City Electric Customer Care Center at 1-800-642-3780."
