What do spouters who are opposed to universal healthcare suggest people do who are suffering physically and can't afford medical treatment? If the middle class is being squeezed with most of their income going towards taxes, insurance, housing, education and daily living, they obviously can't be squeezed anymore. Doesn't it stand to reason that something should be done about the high cost of medicine?
