The WC and SH libraries started out with a budget of roughly $3 million each. By the time they are done, taxpayers will have spent more than $12 million or 100 percent over budget. Did anyone in government at some point say, "This is out of hand and we can't afford this? It was a good idea at $3 million but $6 million is too much." This is what happens when elected officials and others are spending someone else's money; in this case, the taxpayers'. There simply is no accountability.
