STAY AWAY! Dad bought our summer home before WWII. Our friends growing up now own the stores and businesses that their parents founded. The economy and infrastructure of the Cape May County barrier islands are fragile and based upon the now six -week vacation season. During the winter months, supermarkets support a very modest population. These stores are experiencing the same stock shortages as in the metro areas.
