The SCOTUS ruled that our taxes can't pay for religious schools. So to get around this prohibition, Trump is proposing a 100% tax deduction for donations to religious schools. Even worse, wealthy people who donate stocks, would get the full value of the stocks back, without having to pay the Capital Gains tax, meaning they actually make more money than if they merely sold the stocks. All of which means that taxpayers will be paying for religious schools AND paying wealthy stock holders for the privilege.
