Rupert Murdoch's conservative Wall Street Journal on Monday urged Republican senators to take the lead in confronting Russia over its ongoing invasion of Ukraine and warned how Donald Trump and his allies’ “naivete” on Russian President Vladimir Putin is only allowing the bloodshed to continue. In an editorial titled “Time for a GOP Senate Revolt on Sanctions Against Putin,” the newspaper’s conservative editorial board slammed Trump’s stalled bid for peace, which he promised to bring on day one of his second term.
