Policies aside, Mr. Trump is the winner and he gets to do as he likes policy-wise, but I keep seeing in the news media that Trump's win was "historic" and a "clear mandate". If you look at elections over the past several decades, the electoral and popular vote counts are not unlike many past elections, hardly "historic" (see Trump 2016, Obama both times, Clinton both times). And winning by 2-3% when over 142M people voted IMO is not indicative of a "clear mandate". Typical bombastic hyperbole that always surrounds Mr. Trump.
