Please someone correct me if I am wrong. NAFTA which eliminated tariffs between Canada, USA, and Mexico was conceived of by Regan, fully devised by Bush 2, and signed into law by Clinton. This means it was a truly bipartisan idea. Yes? Then Trump renamed his trade deal but continued the elimination of tariffs. What then is meant when Trump says - "they are stealing from us (Canada and Mexico)", when he refers to his new tariff policy. True that this led to manufacturing being moved to labor friendly Mexico but it sounds wrong to blame the Dems.
