In this month's S. Carolina DNR magazine, "Unknown in SC just 40 years ago, coyotes now inhabit all 46 counties." They are even a problem in shore points, like Sullivan's Island. Maybe the "naturalists" who mocked the WC spouter complaining about coyotes can take note that they are not a normal part of our wildlife population here in Cape May County. Changing ecosystems often result from factors other than human population expansion. Just beware, coyotes prey on small family pets. I lost a cat or two to them in Texas.
