Let's put pressure on our local representatives to Trenton to change the current law on local school board and budget elections back to April so we, voters get a say in the one single factor most responsible for skyrocketing property taxes. There is little municipal government can do to curb tax increases because of workers' health and pension benefits, but we can control what we pay in outrageous school taxes over which we now have little say, but we foot the bills.
