An editorial in a daily paper opposes using island beaches as a site for a proposed dog park, citing dangers of fecal contamination going into the ocean. The editorial recommends use of area parks for the dogs. This is also a bad idea, because children and the elderly use those parks, which could put them in danger of aggressive dogs and careless pet owners. There is no guarantee dogs will be confined to one area.
