Can someone explain why handicapped people who visit the Crest beaches cannot be picked up and taken back to the bulkhead during the same hours as the lifeguards are on duty? The guards arrive 10 or 10:30 a.m. and leave at 5:30 p.m. The people who have severe problems walking to the water are picked up at noon and returned at 4 p.m. My neighbor has had the same knee replaced twice and leaves his family on the beach with tears in his eyes.
