To be credible, a so-called out-of-town spouter criticizing a proposed summer beach concert must know Wildwood never has, and doesn't now, have a reputation for being family-friendly, whatever that really means. The crowd that comes here by and large are looking for a good time, love the honkytonk on the Boardwalk and eagerly frequent the dozens of bars here. This atmosphere is unique to Wildwood, and most tourists understand where to go with their children. Successful beach events can be moneymakers.
