Like any losing candidate , Donald Trump had every right to challenge the results of the 2020 election . After 60 of 61 judges claimed no voter fraud he should have like every other President in history started a peaceful transfer of power instead he plotted a scheme to stay in power with fake electors even trying to get VP Pence not to count the electoral votes . This attempt to overturn a fair election is why the grand jury has filed criminal charges . It is not political persecution . He is not a victim, Trump brought this on by himself.
