The city is putting the sale of the municipal lot on Pacific Ave out to bid for $1.2 million. Commissioner Byron is opposed to the sale. He states the city does not need the money. It doesn't ? How come our taxes go up each year? Last year 17 percent. Wouldn't over a million dollars help our budget and ease the taxpayers' burden some. He still stresses the city should keep this lot and build an outdoor skating rink there. Why does he have this fantasy that a skating rink will save our city? Get real; grab the money before our city goes bankrupt. How about helping the taxpayers?!
