The Army Corps draft study for the Wildwood beaches is a winner. It proposes narrowing the extra wide beaches and building dunes along the entire beach. It will solve the outfall drainage issues and put the fishing pier back into the water where it belongs. The beach will be more attractive and the dunes will better prepare us for future storms, thus lowering our flood premiums. The administration of Wildwood is already gearing up to fight it because it may interfere with their soccer tournaments.
