Wildwood

Another aspect of Wildwood's future financial woes are the "gross days of accumulated absences." Monies owed in the future when employees leave. On page 10 of the 2015 adopted budget, police have accumulated 52,160 with a value of $1,741,357.58. Fire with 25,388 with a value of $527,750.19. UAW with 34,497 with a value of $340,413.59 and non-union employees with 16,254 with a cash value of $212,331.13. How does this benefit our city? It does not. When someone leaves they get a lump sum. Remember the chief and his $100,000 payout? This is absurd. Use it or lose it.
