Wildwood

A 80-year-old local's view of the 4th of July. Sitting on my porch on Glenwood Ave. Seniors riding their bikes in the middle of the street with 10 cars in back of them honking. Packed golf carts with children hanging on for dear life, dragging their beach cart with a rope. Kids on motorized skateboards passing cars. Three tiny annoying dogs, barking endlessly across the street. A three-year-old boy alone coming out his house and to the curb. A renter putting bags of trash at the curb. Cars doubled parked. I went back into my house for a nap. And circled Labor Day..
