Wife and I took a road trip this weekend. We like to get off the interstates and drive the back roads, through small towns. When we see a church ahead, we like to guess which denomination it is by the type of structure. Baptist? Methodist? Lutheran? Turns out that nine out of ten churches were no denomination, because they have closed and been repurposed as businesses, community centers or homes. Yet we are being told that church attendance is increasing when we can all see that's just not true. Why the lies?
