Why doesn't Cape May County seek Green Acres funding for open space preservation like other counties do? CMC should take advantage of free money to help preserve open space before there is no open space left to preserve. Cape May County's Open Spaces program needs to be reformed so that it can preserve open space more aggressively. Anyone that has lived in CMC their whole life knows how much better CMC was in the past before development destroyed our forests and farms. Cape May County needs to start buying as many small properties to preserve along with larger ones as quickly as possible.
