Why does CMPT Volunteer Fire Company insist on using a community wide siren to summon the fire fighters to the firehouse, even in the middle of night, even 2 AM in the morning? With the technology available today(pagers, cell phones, etc) there are certainly other options available rather than waking up the entire population of CMPT at ungodly hours. Older folks have enough difficulty sleeping till dawn without being abruptly awakened by a fire whistle in the middle of the night. By the way, I support our volunteer firefighters, thank for your service.
