Very sad news about the fatal accident of the LT boy who was riding his dirt bike illegally on the street and hit a trash truck. Sadly, it was inevitable that this would happen in our area. Many in my neighborhood have been after police to do something about the reckless, brazen, kids illegally riding dirt bikes and ATVs. It is understandable that the cops won’t chase them but everyone knows who they are, yet MTPD refuses to proactively impound the vehicles, even though state law allows for this. Now that a fatality has occurred will this finally be taken seriously or must we wait for more?
