Whether we should or shouldn’t have voter ID requirements is one argument. Whether the SAVE Act is the solution is a VERY DIFFERENT one. Even if you do believe to your core that voter ID is necessary, the SAVE Act as it’s written should give you serious pause. It’s simultaneously too ambiguous and too restrictive. Every solution for voters costs money, which is a poll tax. Stop conflating opposition to the SAVE Act with not caring about election security. It’s a poorly written act that will accomplish far more voter suppression than anything.
