What’s more disgusting than the salaries is the decorum the Mayor allows from managers collecting six figures. While frontline workers can’t afford to live here, those same officials are focusing more on short term rentals than local housing, which many feel has contributed to reduced affordable housing. In my experience the level of competence in these positions is lacking and others seem to share the sentiment here. The council appointed them. The council can remove them but I imagine many of us will be left with unanswered concerns and the pattern is hard to ignore.
