West Wildwood - Trump has decided to order the mint to stop making pennies because they cost 3.7 cents to make. When there are no more pennies in circulation the mint will need to make more nickels. Each nickel is worth only five cents but costs 13.8 cents to produce, a net loss of 8.8 cents per coin. I’m so glad he’s working on the penny situation. I know most Americans were very concerned about it.
