Number 1, July 1953 to 1954, August 1957 to 1958, April 1960 to 1961, Dec. 1969 to Nov. 1970, Nov. 1973 to March 1975, Jan. To July 1980, July 1981 to Nov. 1982, July 1990 to March 1991, March to Nov. 2001, Dec. 2007 to June 2009 (known as the Great Recession) February to April 2020. Source is History.com. Maybe it’s just a coincidence that most began under Republican administrations or maybe they were all Obama’s fault.
