West Wildwood - The Herald's article on furloughing employees in West Wildwood was sad. It also read that the mayor and commissioners are taking a 20-percent decrease in their salaries. In 2012, they were making $5,000. They gave themselves 150 percent increases in pay. The mayor now makes $17,500 and the commissioners make $15,000 each. Now, they are going to sacrifice a 20-percent decrease? Now, the mayor will be paid $14,000 and each commissioner will earn $13,000 a year. Now, they must suffer with a mere 130-percent pay increase! The borough employees being furloughed are taking a real 20-percent cut in their pay!
