West Wildwood - Do I support our local police? As a retired officer, you bet I do. The problem in our tiny borough is our 'head in the sand' commissioners. In 2012, the county prosecutor demanded that we adhere to the state law regarding the staffing of the department with Class II officers (AC Press). When will the prosecutor follow through on that demand? The state will catch up, only a matter of time. The 'thumbs down' comments which will come must be taxpayers who can afford the substantial tax increase that is sure to come. Consolidate service now.
