I had to laugh when I read the Senate passed a bill that tipped workers won’t have to pay federal income tax on tips. But get this, it applies to cash tips only. What a howl. Do they really believe tipped workers claim their cash tips? Note to clueless Senators: they don’t pay taxes on cash tips. Okay, so maybe a few actually do pay but they are in an extreme minority. This just shows that nobody in the Senate ever worked as a restaurant server or bartender or anywhere that cash tips are offered and they are waaay out of touch with average workers.
