What is going on at the Cape May airport?

West Cape May - What is going on at the Cape May airport? I live in Pennsylvania I brought my children down to the airport for air fest this weekend and was shocked by what I saw. I was telling my children about this world war II Air Base and how wonderful it was. And about the two war museums there. When we pulled in I thought they were building a McDonald's! When I asked a worker about the architecture, he said no one in the area is pleased. Yet they keep going. It looks like they are building a McDonald's at the airport instead of trying to preserve history.
