West Cape May - To a veteran of the Coast Guard who supports the president and the securing of the southern border at all costs, first, thank you for your service. I too am a CG veteran. I do have a different view of the situation though. As it stands we have over 40,000 members who are not receiving pay and are still expected to continue ops normal. At what point did we decide that it's alright to shortchange the folks who are tasked with securing the border? It seems counterproductive to have people who are worried about getting by and not able to focus on the mission. Pay them and then debate the merits.
