West Cape May - Too much land that was supposedly preserved by the county's open space program was later ruined by being converted into athletic fields or developed in some way. Now it has gotten worse with very little of the open space funds going towards the preservation of open space. The freeholders are misusing open space funds for sports fields, bike paths and tiny barrier island lots rather than saving the money to preserve as much land as possible. The county's open space preservation program exists in name only.
