West Cape May - To the Spouter who expressed concern over the Cape May lifeguards who "socialize" at the stands: The members of Cape May Beach Patrol are comprised of the finest of young men and women and we are lucky to have these dedicated life-savers. They are out training hard every morning long before we see them on the stands. Many hold EMT certifications. They are fearless as they guard us, through sweltering hot days, rough seas,even during hurricanes and lighting and storms. Without them, we would not able to enjoy our beach days. Next time, try giving them a thumbs up or thank you as you pass by.
