West Cape May - I just finished watching the Cape May Council meeting Dec. 6. I was not totally clear on the indemnity resolutions until they were explained. Every elected official and government employee is covered by the city's insurance should they be named in a lawsuit. Since these cases have not been settled, it is understandable why the outgoing council wants to be protected. It is time for the new council members to get over themselves and stop carrying grudges and concentrate on what's good for the city. If they should find themselves on the other side of the lawsuit, would they not want to be protected also?
